A winner of back-to-back illustration of the year awards for the Straits Times in 1986 and 1987, and at the age of 26 in 1988, Cheah or Sinann Cheah, started his very own daily cartoon strip, The House of Lim, in the newspaper.
Now out on his own, Sinann has created a gamut of cartoon strips for newspapers all over the world, two of which, Billy & Saltie and Murphy's In-Law, are appearing in Malaysia's New Straits Times and The Epoch Times respectively.
He has recently been made a member of the Australian Cartoonists' Association, the world's oldest cartoonists' organisation.
Sinann also supplies jokes and gags to standup comedians and aspiring cartoonists everywhere.
He is presently based in Singapore with his Irish wife and two children.
